What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL 

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): 

ORDER NO. MCC132934014: The City of Manchester (Various Streets, Levenshulme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on the sections of road specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order. The alternative routes for traffic will be as specified in column 3 of the said Schedule. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th March 2023 to 21st March 2023 at the times when traffic management is deployed. 

The order shall come into operation on 4th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 

SCHEDULE: Cringle Road from Stockport Road to Wilsthorpe Close. Hillcrest Drive from Cringle Road to cul-de-sac. Lingcrest Close from Cringle Road to cul-de-sac. Red Rose Crescent from Cringle Road to cul-de-sac. Damien Street from Matthews Lane to Longden Road - 
1. Matthews Lane, Stovell Avenue, Ollier Avenue, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. 
2. Matthews Lane, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. Sedon Street from Matthews Lane to Longden Road - 
1. Matthews Lane, Stovell Avenue, Ollier Avenue, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. 
2. Matthews Lane, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. Maida Street from Matthews Lane to Longden Road - 
1. Matthews Lane, Stovell Avenue, Ollier Avenue, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. 
2. Matthews Lane, Hemmons Road, Longden Road and vice versa. Slade Lane from Kingsway to Osbourne Road - 
1. Kingsway, Moseley Road, Slade Lane and vice versa. 
2. Slade Lane, Stockport Road, Albert Road and vice versa. Central Avenue from Rushford Avenue to Park Grove - Park Grove, Slade Lane and Rushford Avenue.

ORDER NO. MCC000132711748: The City of Manchester (Whitworth Street West, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary No waiting and No Loading) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to restrict vehicular traffic parking on the south-west Carriageway of Whitworth Street West from Deansgate to Albion Street. The City Council is satisfied that this restriction is necessary in order to facilitate new electrical cable works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th March 2023 to 26th March 2023. 

The order shall come into operation on 6th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If the restriction ends within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC132913818: The City of Manchester (Woodhouse Lane, Greenwood Road, Wythenshawe Road, Northenden Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Woodhouse Lane, Greenwood Road, Wythenshawe Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed Locally. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Large Patching. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th March 2023 to 31st March 2023. 

The order shall come into operation on 6th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 
20th February 2023. 

ORDER NO. MCC132940193: The City of Manchester (Mosshall Close, Hulme Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Mosshall Close from Shawheath Close to cul-de-sac. There are no alternative routes for traffic. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 4th March 2023 to 17th March 2023. 

The order shall come into operation on 4th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
