Oldbury & West Bromwich - Temporary Road Closure

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Wolverley Crescent, Oldbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Wolverley Crescent, Oldbury for a distance of 40m from the junction of Martley Road (access to any affected frontages within the closure will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion will be signed via Hartlebury Road and Shelsley Avenue and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 24/02/2023 effective from 20/02/2023 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay a new gas service from a main located in the far side footway by Cadent Gas Ltd.

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Stone Street, Oldbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Stone Street between Lodge Street (southern side of junction) and Trinity Street (northern side of junction). Access to frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A diversion route will be signed via Oldbury Ringway, Birmingham Road, Popes Lane and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 19/02/2023 (8am - 10am). Purpose – to facilitate access for soffit survey works associated with the M5 Oldbury Viaduct by National Highways. 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Londonderry Road, Oldbury) (Temporary One-Way Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Londonderry Road, Oldbury in an easterly direction from Dog Kennel Lane to Warley Road (access to any affected frontages within the closure will be maintained, but only when safety permits). A traffic diversion will be signed via Dog Kennel Lane, Basons Lane and Warley Road. A no waiting/loading restriction will be operational for the duration of the works on the southern side of Londonderry Road from Dog Kennel Lane to Warley Road. The existing car parking bays will be suspended for the duration of the works on the northern side of Londonderry Lane from Dog Kennel Lane to Warley Road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 24/02/2023 effective from 22/02/2023 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access for default repair works by National Grid Electricity. 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Oak Lane, West Bromwich) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Oak Lane, West Bromwich from the junction of Oak Road to the southern side of Acorn Close (access to any affected frontages within the closure will be maintained, but only when safety permits). Two traffic diversion routes will be signed as follows: 1) Hazelbeech Road and vice versa. 2) Lodge Road and Oxford Road and vice versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 24/02/2023 effective from 22/02/2023 (24hrs). Purpose – to facilitate access to lay a gas service from the main located in the far side of footway by Cadent Gas Ltd.
