What is happening?
(Prohibitions and Restrictions of Waiting and Loading Prohibitions) Traffic Regulation Order 2023
The Council gives notice that it proposes to make the following Traffic Order. All prohibitions, restrictions and provisions apply to the roads in Donnington and Muxton Area (Telford & Wrekin) and the general effects of the Order are to:-
1)To introduce or amend the prohibit waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on parts of the following roads; Ambleside Way, Barn Close, Bradley Road, Cordingley Way, Hawthorn Road, High Mount, Lodge Road, Millers Way, Muxton Lane, Oakengates Road, Old willow Road, St Georges Road, St Matthews Road, The Common, The Paddock, The Sutherlands, and Wellington Road.
2)To introduce No Waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating 8am to 9am and 3pm to 4pm on Monday to Friday inclusive in the following length(s) of road(s); 1) Barn Close, south side; from 10 metres west of Bradley Road in a westerly direction for 37 metres. 2) Bradley Road, east side; from 13 metres north of the centreline for Ambleside Way in a northerly direction to a point 54 metres north of that same centre line.
3)To introduce No Waiting restrictions (single yellow line) operating 7am to 7pm on all days in the following length(s) of road(s); 1) St Georges Road, north-east side; from 20 metres south-east of the centreline of St Matthew’s Road in a southerly direction to a point 25 metres north St Georges Roundabout. 2) South-west side; from 13 metres north-west of the centreline for High Mount in a north-westerly direction for 52.5 metres. 3) West side; From 25 metres north of St Georges Roundabout in a northerly direction to a point 13 metres south-east of the centreline for High Mount.
4) To introduce No Loading prohibition operating at all times on all days in the following length(s) of road(s); 1) Hawthorn Road, north-west side; From The Parade (south-west section) in a north-easterly direction to a point 5 metres north-east of The Parade (north-east section). 2) South-east side; From The Parade in a north-easterly direction for 55 metres. 3) The Parade, north-west side; From Wrekin Drive in a north-easterly direction for 11 metres. 4) South-east side; From Wrekin Drive in a north-easterly direction to Hawthorn Road.5) The Parade (South-west Section), north-east side; From Hawthorn Road in a north-westerly direction for 10 metres.
5) To revoke certain existing prohibitions and restrictions from the following Orders; The purpose of the proposed Order is to improve the free flow of traffic by removing indiscriminate parking on the public highway and improving safety for pedestrian on the footway affected by this Order.
