What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL 

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):

ORDER NO. MCC132856342: The City of Manchester (Burnage Range, Burnage Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Burnage Range. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Large Patching. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st March 2023 to 3rd March 2023. 

The order shall come into operation on 1st March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC132914441: The City of Manchester (Winscombe Drive, Thornton Street & Paget Street, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on the sections of road specified in column 2 of the Schedule to this Order. The alternative routes for traffic will be as specified in column 3 of the said Schedule. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate building construction works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st March 2023 to 29th June 2024. 

The order shall come into operation on 1st March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. 

SCHEDULE: Winscombe Drive from Whitley Road to cul-de-sac. Thornton Street from Wilmcote Drive to cul-de-sac. Paget Street from Rochdale Road to Thornton Street North - Rochdale Road, Collyhurst Street, Thornton Street North and vice versa.

ORDER NO. MCC132791641: The City of Manchester (Chancery Lane, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Chancery Lane at its junction with Spring Gardens. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Spring Gardens, King Street, Brown Street. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate crane operations. It is expected that the works will be in progress on 4th March 2023 with a backup date of 18th March 2023. The order shall come into operation on 4th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC132452489: The City of Manchester (Ducie Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Ducie Street from Dale Street to London Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate telecoms maintenance. 

It is expected that the works will be in progress from 5th March 2023 to 26th March 2023. The order shall come into operation on 5th March 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
