Dean Lane - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation to Facilitate an Electricity Scheme

What is happening?

MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL 

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED) 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): 

ORDER NO. MCC132748846: The City of Manchester (Dean Lane and Droylsden Road, Miles Platting & Newton Heath Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic and Temporary One Way Traffic) Order 2023 under s14 of the Road Traffi c Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Dean Lane between Oldham Road and Ivy Graham Close, between 20th Feb and 3rd March. 

The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dean Lane (1) St Mary’s Road, Joyce Street, Kenyon Lane, Lightbowne Road, Thorp Road, Oldham Road. (2) St Mary’s Road, Nuthurst Road, Broadway, Oldham Road, Dean Lane. Droylsden Road will be made one way for traffic travelling from Oldham Road to All Saints Street between 9th March and 24th March. 

The alternative routes for traffic will be:(1) Droylsden Road, All Saints Street, Old Church Street, Dean Lane, Oldham Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate an electricity scheme. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 20th February 2023 to 24th March 2023. 

The order shall come into operation on 20th February 2023 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
