What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS & ROAD CLOSURE) (BOWER LANE, QUARRY BANK) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make a temporary Order to safely facilitate the construction of a vehicle drop crossing on Bower Lane, Quarry Bank. The effects of which will be to prohibit: - (a) the waiting, loading, or unloading vehicles; (b) all vehicles from entering or proceeding; on Bower Lane, Quarry Bank from outside number 77a to outside number 77b Bower Lane at such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed. The Order will apply at 09:30 hours on Thursday 2nd March 2023. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 15:30 hours on Monday 6th March 2023. The Order will remain valid for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. Diversions for all vehicular traffic shall be via: New Street, Maughan Street, King Street and vice versa. Exemptions would be provided for: - a. anything done with the permission or at the direction of a civil enforcement officer in uniform; b. emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; c. any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works.
