What is happening?

The A41 GLA Road (Watford Way, London Borough Of Barnet) (Temporary Prohibition Of Stopping And Banned Turn) Order 2023
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.2. The purpose of the Order is to enable traffic signal modernisation works to take place on the A41 Watford Way.
3. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle:
(1) travelling in a northerly direction on Watford Way, from turning right into Queen's Road;
(2) travelling in a southerly direction on Watford Way, from turning right into Vivian Avenue;
(3) from stopping at any time in the Loading/ Unloading and Disabled Persons' Bay on Queen's Road from a point 18 metres north-east of a point opposite the extended north-eastern building line of Nos. 2 to 12 Queen's Parade, Queen's Road to a point 18.1 metres in a westerly direction.
The Order will be effective between the dates of 14th February 2023 and 20th February 2023, each night from 8:00 PM until 5:00 AM or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibitions will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
4. The prohibitions will not apply in respect of:
(1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
5. At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated by traffic signs via: (for northbound traffic via: The Burroughs/Church Road, Brent Street, Queens Road and Watford Way and then to normal route of traffic): (for southbound traffic via: Brent Cross Flyover Roundabout, Vivian Avenue, Allington Road, Graham Road and Hendon Way and then to normal route of traffic).
