THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
THE LEICESTER (WATKIN ROAD) (TEMPORARY) TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicester City Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be, for the following anticipated period of time to:Prohibit right turn movement from Watkin Road into Upperton Road from 12.01am on Monday 27th February 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 5th March 2023.
Prohibit right turn movement from Watkin Road into Upperton Roadfrom 12.01am on Monday 24th July 2023 until 11.59pm on Saturday 30th September 2023.
Prohibit right turn movement from Watkin Road into Upperton Road from 12.01am on Monday 9th October 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 3rd December 2023.
Diversion route: Upperton Road, Fosse Road South, Hinckley Road, Narborough Road, New Park Street, Western Boulevard.
Prohibit westbound movement on Upperton Road between its junction with Watkin Road and a point 90 metres west thereof from 12.01am on Monday 24th April 2023 until 11.59pm on Sunday 30th April 2023.Prohibit westbound movement on Upperton Road between its junction with Watkin Road and a point 90 metres west thereof from 12.01am on Monday 2nd October 2023 until 11.59pm onSunday 8th October 2023.
Diversion route: Western Boulevard, New Park Street, Narborough Road, Upperton Road.
The Order will come into effect on the 27th February 2023 and will continue in force for up to 18 months, or until the order is no longer deemed necessary, whichever is the earlier.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
