What is happening?

C71 Church Road, Horne Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 08 February 2023 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C71 Church Road, Horne that extends from the western side of its junction with C65 Hornecourt Hill, to the south-western property boundary of “Homefield Cottages”.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out installation of speed limit signage and/or resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm as soon as possible within one week of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 February 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: – C65 Hornecourt Hill, C65 Gayhouse Road, C70 Scotts Hill, C70 Normans Road, C67 Chapel Road, C67 Redehall Road, C66 Plough Road, C66 Smallfield Road and C71 Church Road. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Carlton Green (D1242) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
On 8 February 2023 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that entire length of Carlton Green (D1242) Redhill. Alternative Route – (D1242) Carlton Road Redhill.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be completed within 1 month between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 February 2023. It is anticipated that the works will be conducted in 3 phases. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
B2208 Croydon Road, Caterham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of B2208 Croydon Road, Caterham that extends from the southern side of its junction with D1430 Farningham Road, to the northern side of its junction with B2030 Station Avenue.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Falcon Tower Crane Services Limited to dismantle a tower crane and/or to carry out associated works in B2208 Croydon Road, Caterham between D1430 Colin Road and the south-western property boundary of “No.48 Croydon Road”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 5:30am on Saturday 25/02/23 and 9pm on Sunday 26/02/23 within 1 weekend of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 25 February 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: – Godstone Road and Caterham By-Pass. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the footway to the eastern side of the carriageway.
D310 Wonham Lane, Betchworth and D310 Trumpets Hill Road, Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D310 Wonham Lane, Betchworth and D310 Trumpets Hill Road, Reigate that extends from the junction with D310 Sandy Lane, to the junction with C58 Flanchford Road.
This Traffic Order is required to enable BT Openreach to provide a new service connection and/or carry out poling and/or cabling and/or maintenance works in the length of D310 Trumpets Hill Road, Reigate that extends alongside “Wonham Cottage and for a distance of 100m in each direction. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 March 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times under direction of site operatives. Alternative route: – Wonham Lane, Sandy Lane, Old Road, Reigate Road, Buckland Road and Flanchford Road.
C92 Honeypot Lane, Limpsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council with the permission of Kent County Council, propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C92 Honeypot Lane, Limpsfield that extends from the eastern side of the access road to “Ash Farm”, eastward for 100m. This Traffic Order is required to facilitate Surrey County Council to carry out bridge inspections and/or carriageway resurfacing and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm within one day of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 March 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the alternative route – Honeypot Lane, Grants Lane, Monks Lane, Hole Lane, B2026 Main Road, Hilders Lane and Little Browns Lane. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
D301 Chart Lane South, D301 Blackbrook Road, D306 Red Lane and D306 Brockhamhurst Road, Holmwood and Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in: –
a) That length of D301 Chart Lane South, Holmwood that extends from its junction with D2857 Punchbowl Lane, to its junction with D301 Blackbrook Road. b) The entire length of D301 Blackbrook Road, Holmwood. c) The entire length of D306 Red Lane, Holmwood and D306 Brockhamhurst Road, Betchworth. This Traffic Order is required to enable Freeflow TM and/or BT Openreach to carry out blockage clearing and/or ducting and/or cabling and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in sections within 1 month of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 March 2023.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Alternative routes: – 1. Mill Road, Horsham Road, Deepdene Avenue and Chart Lane South. 2. Blackbrook Road, Chart Lane South, Deepdene Avenue, Reigate Road, Brockham Lane and Middle Street.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) & (2) Public Footpath 407 (Horley)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2017
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 407 (Horley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2017 was made to ensure public safety due to machinery on and next to the path. The Order came into operation on 25 August 2017. It was originally due to expire on 5 February 2021 and extended to 5 February 2023. It has now been extended again and continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 5 February 2024 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath 407 (Horley) from the junction with Meath Green Lane at Grid Reference 527178 144623 for 220 metres to the junction with Public Footpath 411 Horley at Grid Reference 527014 144436.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected. There is no alternative route.
