What is happening?

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARKING AND DAGENHAM

(KING EDWARD'S ROAD, BARKING)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023

NOTICE OF MAKING

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate mains installation and reinstatement works, the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham has made a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The order is expected to come in to effect on Friday 10 February 2023. The works expected for:

- Mains installation and reinstatement works to take 15 days to complete. Completion date estimated as Friday 24 February 2023 with the work expected to be undertaken between the hours of 7.00am and 6.30pm.

However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are being displayed the Order will temporarily:-

- Prohibit all vehicular traffic on King Edward's Road, both sides, from its junction with Alfreds Way (A13) in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Long Reach Court.

- Prohibit all vehicular traffic (except for access) on King Edward's Road, both sides, from its junction with Greatfields Road in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Long Reach Court.

4. Alternative routes for Vehicular traffic will be maintained and signed:

- Via Alfreds Way (A13), Movers Lane and Ripple Road (A123).

- Via King Edward's Road, Ripple Road (A123), St Pauls Road, Gascoigne Road and Alfreds Way (A13).
