Westminster - Replacing A Pay-By-Phone Parking Bay

What is happening?

CITY OF WESTMINSTER
HORSEFERRY ROAD, PALACE STREET, SPENSER STREET, UPPER GROSVENOR STREET AND WHITEHALL PLACE

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffc Regulation Act 1984, as amended:
     •     The City of Westminster (Electric Vehicle Recharging Points) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*;
     •     The City ofWestminster(D Zone) (Amendment No.*) Order 202*;
     •     The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (E Zone) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*; and
     •     The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (G Zone) (Amendment No. *) Order 202*.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
     (a)    introduce Source London electric vehicle fastrecharging bays (maximum stay of 4 hoursbetween 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., no return on thesame day) at the following locations:
          (i)     outside No. 33 Horseferry Road, replacing a pay-by-phone parking bay (5.5 metres);
          (ii)     on the west side of Palace Street, adjacent to the Landsec Mail Room, Nos. 80-100 Victoria Street,replacing a pay-by-phone parking bay (5 metres) - the layout of the parking places inthe lay-by at this location would be rearranged so that the new electric vehicle recharging bayand the existing electric vehicle recharging baywould be situated at the northern end of the lay-by with the fve remaining pay-by-phoneparking bays situated towards the southern end of the lay-by;
          (iii)    opposite Nos. 19 and 20 Upper Grosvenor Street,replacing 5.5 metres of shared-use parking;and
          (iv)    outside the north-eastern fre door of theCorinthia London Hotel, Whitehall Place,replacing 5 metres of residents’ parking; and
     (b)    rearrange the layout of the “Blue Badge”disabled persons’ parking place and the electric vehicle recharging bays on the south side ofSpenser Street, adjacent to No. 62 Buckingham Gate, so that the “Blue Badge” parking place isrelocated to the western end of this group of parking places.
3. The proposed Orders and other documents givingmore detailed particulars of the Orders are availablefor inspection until six weeks have elapsed fromthe date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders at https://westminstertransportationservices.co.uk/noticesand, in person by appointment only, at Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP, between 9.00 a.m.and 5.00 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays (except bank /public holidays). 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposal should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, WSP Traffc Order Team, 3rd Floor, WSP House, 70 Chancery Lane, London, WC2A 1AF, or by email to tmo.westminster@wsp.com quoting reference 7752/ND by 22nd February 2023.
All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
