Parkwood Road Christchurch, Temporary Traffic Notice
What is happening?
BOURNEMOUTH, CHRISTCHURCH AND POOLE COUNCIL PARKWOOD ROAD PROJECT,
CHRISTCHURCH - FIBRE INSTALLATION WORKS TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and the Traffic Management Act 2004, has made temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.
WHERE, WHAT & WHEN:
- Harvey Road - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Parkwood Road from Monday 13 February up to and including Friday 17 January 2023
- Darracott Road and Beechwood Avenue -roads closed to all vehicles at their respective junctions with Parkwood Road from Monday 13 February up to and including Friday 24 February 2023.
- Beechwood Avenue - road closed to all vehicles at its junction with Wentworth Avenue from Monday 13 February up to and including Friday 24 February 2023.
Please note that Beechwood Avenue will not be closed at both junctions at the same time. Residents will be informed by letter with details of rolling road/phased closures by City Fibre.
WHY: For safety whilst installation of fibre duct cabling is undertaken under to two-way temporary signals on Parkwood Road and Wentworth Avenue by CityFibre.
ACCESS: Full Emergency Service access will be maintained.
DIVERSION: please follow signed routes
VIEW AT: https://one.network/?tm=132096123 These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
