(MILE END ROAD AREA, SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2023

On 25 January 2023 South Tyneside Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order which comes into operation on 6 February 2023 will REVOKE the existing:
Disabled Persons Parking Place 3hrs, no return within 2 hrs on Salem St east side from a point 11m north of its junction with Queen St northwards for 12m.

Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall, Westoe Road, South Shields, NE33 2RL. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act or that any of the requirements of the Act or of any relevant regulations made under the Act have not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from 25 January 2023 when the Order was made, make an application for that purpose to the High Court.
