What is happening?

PUBLIC NOTICE THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL 

(PROUDS LANE FP178) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council have made an order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting pedestrians from proceeding on Prouds Lane footpath FP178 closed its entire length. The Order may operate for a maximum period of six months, but it is anticipated that the closure will be undertaken from 30 January 2023 until 24 June 2023 (approximately). The pedestrian diversion route is: Prouds Lane, Mountford Lane, Nightingale Place and vice versa. The Order is required to facilitate resurfacing, replacement of lighting columns and installation of improved motorcycle barriers.
