THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (SILKSWORTH TERRACE SOUTH BACK) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2023
Sunderland City Council gives notice that it intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic from those sections of roads listed in the schedule below. The Order is required to allow the excavation of the gas main. The order will come into force on 20th February 2023. The maximum duration of the closure under the Order will be eighteen months, it is estimated that the works will take four weeks. All vehicles, horses and cycles will be prohibited from the highways detailed in the Schedule below (except for vehicles and personnel involved in the works), until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. An alternative route will be provided and pedestrian access to properties will be maintained throughout.
SCHEDULE: Hill Street – for its entire length and Silksworth Terrace South Back – from the extended eastern property boundary of no.37 Londonderry Street to the extended western property boundary of no.12 Londonderry Street.
