What is happening?

Public Notices for Traffic Regulation Orders
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
The following statutory notice of Intent is hereby served on 12th January 2023:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CRANFIELD ROAD (PART), ASTWOOD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. in order to enable Openreach to carry out essential repair works, and pole replacement works from 26th January 2023 – 30th January 2023 (Between 8:00am and 6:00pm each day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Cranfield Road, Astwood – Between Green Valley Farm and Eyreswood Farm.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Astwood Road, Crawley Road, High Street, Chicheley Road, Newport Road, Main Road, Cranfield Road (and vice versa).
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway. The temporary Order will come into effect on 26th January 2023 and remain in effect for a period of 3 month and will take effect at times during the above period only when works are required and only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any closure.
There will be no exemptions from the provisions of the proposed Order except for emergency service vehicles on operational duties.
The closures will be clearly signed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the TSRGD 2016 (The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016). All affected properties will be notified of the forthcoming closures at least one week prior to the works taking place.
Any person committing a breach of the order will be liable upon prosecution to such fine as prescribed by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
The following statutory notice of Intent is hereby served on 12th January 2023:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MORLAND DRIVE AND REDWAY HZ01, GRANGE FARM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. in order to enable Smith Construction to carry out construction of carriageway together with street lighting, installation of new foul and surface water drainage, new service installations and new pedestrian routes into Hazeley Academy. from 28th January 2023 – 21st August 2023 (24 Hours).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Morland Drive, Grange Farm – from its junction with Tattenhoe Street for approximately 30 meters.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Morland Drive, Singleton Drive, Portway and Tattenhoe Street (and vice versa).
Redway HZ01, Grange Farm – From its Junction with Redway GF01 Grange Farm to Hazeley School.
Whilst the above length of Redway is closed the alternative route will be via Redway GF01 Grange Farm, Redway HZ03 Grange Farm (and vice versa).
The Council is satisfied that the temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway. The temporary Order will come into effect on 28th January 2023 and remain in effect for a period of 12 months and will take effect at times during the above period only when works are required and only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any closure.
