ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
(VARIOUS STREETS IN CHESTERFIELD)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2023
Derbyshire County Council proposes making an Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the purpose of which is to restrict waiting by vehicles (except those delivering or collecting goods or loading and unloading) on the following lengths of road:-
SCHEDULE 1
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME
BEEHIVE ROAD
West side - from a point 3 metres north of its junction with Old Road for a distance of 46 metres in a northerly direction.
East side - from a point 3 metres north of its junction with Old Road for a distance of 66 metres in a northerly direction.
From a point 101.5 metres north and west of its junction with Old Road for a distance of 7.5 metres in a westerly and then northerly direction.
BRICKHOUSE YARD
South-west side - from its junction with Catherine Street for a distance of 17 metres in a north-westerly direction.
BROOKSIDE BAR
West side - from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 11 metres in a southerly direction.
East side - from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
BROOKSIDE GLEN
West side - from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 21 metres in a southerly direction.
East side - from its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 19 metres in a southerly direction.
CHATSWORTH ROAD
South side - from a point 9 metres west of its junction with Brookside Bar to a point 23 metres east of its junction with Brookside Glen.
DELVES CLOSE
Both sides - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 11 metres in a north-easterly direction.
FOLJAMBE AVENUE
North-west side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 38 metres in a south-westerly direction.
South-east side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 31 metres in a south-westerly direction.
HAZEL DRIVE
Both sides - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 12 metres in a north-easterly direction.
HILLSIDE DRIVE
North side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 11 metres in an easterly direction.
South side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 12 metres in an easterly direction.
HUNLOKE AVENUE
North-west side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a north-easterly direction.
South-east side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 21 metres in a north-easterly direction.
ORCHARDS WAY
North-west side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a south-westerly direction.
South-east side - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 12 metres in a south-westerly direction.
TAP LANE
East side - from a point 10 metres south of its junction with Chatsworth Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a southerly direction.
WALTON CLOSE
North side - from its junction with Moorland View Road for a distance of 45 metres in a westerly direction.
South side - from its junction with Moorland View Road for a distance of 29 metres in a westerly direction.
From a point 42 metres west of its junction with Moorland View Road for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction.
WALTON ROAD
West side - from a point 36 metres north of its junction with Windsor Close to a point 10 metres south of that junction.
East side - from a point 22 metres north of its junction with Hillside Drive to a point 40 metres south of that junction.
South-west side - from a point 15 metres north-west of its junction with Orchards Way to a point 13 metres south-east of that junction.
From a point 15 metres north-west of its junction with Foljambe Avenue to a point 17 metres south-east of that junction.
North-east side - from a point 10 metres north-west of its junction with Delves Close to a point 13 metres south-east of that junction.
From a point 17 metres north-west of its junction with Hunloke Avenue to a point 19 metres south-east of that junction.
From a point 16 metres north-west of its junction with Hazel Drive to a point 15 metres south-east of that junction.
WEST BARS
North side - from a point 27 metres west of its junction with Clarence Road for a distance of 1 metre in a westerly direction.
From a point 41 metres west of its junction with Clarence Road for a distance of 6 metres in a westerly direction.
WINDSOR CLOSE
Both sides - from its junction with Walton Road for a distance of 10 metres in a westerly direction.
SCHEDULE 2
LIMITED WAITING, 8am TO 6PM (WAITING LIMITED TO 1 HOUR, NO RETURN WITHIN 2 HOURS)
WEST BARS
North side - from a point 28 metres west of its junction with Clarence Road for a distance of 13 metres in a westerly direction.
From a point 47 metres west of its junction with Clarence Road for a distance of 33 metres in a westerly direction.
Exemptions will be made for vehicles used in connection with any building operation or demolition; removal of any obstruction to traffic; carrying out of statutory powers or duties taking in petrol etc, from any garage situated within the lengths of road; or as part of a funeral or wedding cortege. The usual exemptions for disabled persons’ vehicles will also apply.
A copy of the Order with its associated documents, giving more detailed particulars of the Order, is available for inspection until 3rd February 2023 at the offices of the Derbyshire County Council, Main Reception, County Hall, Matlock, which is open from Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm, and also at Chesterfield Library, New Beetwell Street, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S40 1QN, which is open on Monday, Tuesday and Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm, on Wednesday and Thursday between 9.00am and 7.00pm, and on Saturday between 9:00am and 4.00pm.
Alternatively, a copy may be requested by emailing Place.PermanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made. All objections and other representations to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to the Executive Director – Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team), or emailed to, Place.PermanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk by 3rd February 2023. All objections must state the grounds on which they are made, and the person making the objections must include their name and full postal address.
