Newtonwood Lane, Newton Temporary Road Closure And Suspension Of One Way Order
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
NEWTONWOOD LANE, NEWTON
WHEN: 20th January 2023 (09:30 to 15:30)
WHERE: Newtonwood Lane, Newton between a point 160 metres west of its junction with Chesterfield Road for a distance of 160 metres in a westerly direction.
REASON: To facilitate telegraph pole testing works.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Newtonwood Lane (from point of closure), Chesterfield Road, B6014, High Street, B6025, B6026, Littlemoor Lane, Newtonwood Lane (to point of closure) and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
