Oil Mill Fold, Rotherham - temporary prohibition of through traffic and pedestrians
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF OIL MILL FOLD ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIANS)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to
prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Oil Mill Fold, Rotherham Town Centre
from its junction with Westgate for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction
from Saturday 31st. December 2022 until Sunday 30th. April 2023.
NOTICE is further given that:-
(i) there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.
(ii) the alternative route for pedestrians affected by the Order is via the footways adjacent to
Westgate, Ship Hill, Moorgate Street, Downs Row and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on
or near the road (Demolition of buildings on Westgate).
