Moor Road, Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham - temporary prohibition of through traffic
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF MOOR ROAD AND
PART OF B6097 BISCAY WAY WATH UPON DEARNE ROTHERHAM
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any
vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice
from Monday 9th. January until Friday 31st. March 2023.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed
on or near the two parts of road (Highway works).
Schedule
(i) Moor Road from its junction with B6097 Biscay Way for a distance of approximately 42m
in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via A633 Station Road, Recreation
Road and vice versa).
(ii) B6097 Biscay Way in any direction other than an easterly direction between the exit to
TESCO supermarket and its junction with A633 Dearneway/Station Road roundabout
(the alternative route will be via A633 Dearneway Roundabout, A33 Station Road, A633
Manvers Way, B6097 Pontefract Road, Barnsley Road, B6097 Barnsley Road, B6097 West
Street and Biscay Way).
