(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2022
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the A196 NewbiggIn Road from its point outside of house number 1 Newbiggin Road heading eastwards for a distance of 63 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 3rd January 2023 until the 20th January 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 3rd January 2023 until the 17th January 2023 however it will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via North Seaton Road, Rotary Parkway, Morpeth Road, Sheepwash Road, Sheepwash Bank. Stakeford Lane, Black Close Bank and vice versa.

The closure has been requested by Northern Gas Networks to renew metallic gas main with new PE Main in the carriageway.
