NOTICE OF MAKING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under regulation 17 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (as amended) (“the Regulations”) that Bassetlaw District Council has made an Order under its powers contained in sections 32 and 35(1) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) (“the Act”) the effect of which will be:

1. Revoke the Bassetlaw District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2013, the Bassetlaw District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2019 and Bassetlaw District Council Civil Enforcement (Off Street Parking Places) (Amendment) Order 2016.

2. Make the Bassetlaw District Council (Civil Enforcement Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2022 (“the Order”).

3. To include a new Parking Places within the Order at Town Hall East car park, Worksop (‘Pay and Display’), Foy’s Building car park, Worksop, Queens Buildings employee and Courtyard car parks, Worksop and Spa Common Residents’ parking area, Retford (all ‘Permit Holder’ only). To remove Ebeneezer Terrace car park, Worksop (‘Pay and Display’) from the Order.

4. To make amendments in the text of the Order to include regulation of electric vehicle parking bays.

5. To amend the Plan identifying the Parking Place at Town Hall Car Park, Worksop to identify an area where Parking Bays are unavailable at any time.

The Order will come into effect on 31 December 2022.

If any person wishes to question the validity of the Variation Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirement of the Act, the Regulations or of any other instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Variation Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

The Order may be examined at the Council’s Offices at Queen’s Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop S80 2AH and 17B the Square, Retford DN22 6DB during normal opening hours.
