(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE)
ORDER 2022

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C2 Horncliffe Mains Junction To Union Bridge from 65 metres north of Chainbridge House, heading south-west for a distance of 150 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 1st January 2023 until the 28th July 2023.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 1st January 2023 until the 31st May 2023 however it will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C2, C3, C6, A698, A1, B6461 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council for full refurbishment works to Union Chain Bridge.
