Traffic Notice - PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF SPEED TABLES AT BRUNSWICK ROAD

THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND - HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 90
NOTICE is hereby given that Sunderland City Council after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police propose the following:
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF SPEED TABLES AT BRUNSWICK ROAD
That the Council in exercise of its powers under Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 and after consultation in accordance with Section 90C of the Highways Act 1980 proposes to construct 2 x speed tables complying with the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 as traffic calming measures on Brunswick Road. The nature and dimensions of the proposed speed tables are as follows:- Dimensions The speed tables will have the following dimensions: Overall Width:  Full Width of Carriageway; Length: 16000 mm; On/off Gradient: 1:20; Plateau Length: 12000 mm; Max Height:  100mm. 
Locations 1. Centred at a point 2.1 metres east of the extended party property boundary of 25 & 27 Brunswick Road. 2. Centred at a point 7.8 metres west of the extended party property boundary of 71 Brunswick Road & 17 Banff Street. Both speed tables are to be positioned within a 20mph zone. Traffic signs will be erected in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be inspected during normal opening hours at the City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland, until 16th January 2023. Objections to and other representations relating to the proposals must be made in writing to E. Waugh, Assistant Director of Law and Governance at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA or via email at: statutoryorders@sunderland.gov.uk on or before the 16th January 2023. Any objection must state the grounds on which it is made. Please quote reference: PB/81703 in all correspondence.
