What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Freshwater Road - Totland Road) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.2) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 3rd January 2023 and the effect will be as follows:-
A) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
FRESHWATER ROAD
From the junction of Colwell Road to outside No. 54 on both sides.
(Disabled bay outside No. 58 relocated to outside No. 54 for the duration of the works.)
Duration: 3rd - 6th January 2023
TOTLAND ROAD
From the junction of Colwell Road to outside No. 71 on both sides.
Duration: 9th - 13th January 2023
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate City Fibre works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 3rd January 2023 to 13th January 2023 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
