Traffic Notices - SHEEPFOLDS, EASINGTON STREET

THE CITY OF SUNDERLAND (SHEEPFOLDS, EASINGTON STREET) (OFF-STREET PARKING, PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING) TRAFFIC ORDER 2022
Sunderland City Council gives notice that on 14th December 2022 it made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 53 and 122 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Part IV of the Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, by virtue of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act.
The effect of the Order is to:-
1. introduce prohibition of waiting at any time restrictions along the lengths of roads in Schedule 1 below;
2. introduce a prohibition of loading & unloading at any time restriction along the lengths of roads in Schedule 1 below;
3. introduce pay by phone parking places on those sections of roads in Schedule 2 below;
4. introduce pay by phone parking places on those parking spaces in Schedule 3 below;
5. revoke a number of items from traffic orders affecting the area as listed in Schedule 4 below.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order may be inspected during normal opening hours at City Hall, Plater Way, Sunderland SR1 3AA, until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Order is made. An electronic copy of the documents can also be obtained by emailing: statutoryorders@sunderland.gov.uk. In addition, a paper copy can be requested by telephoning 0191 561 1621 during office hours. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with may within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made apply for the purpose to the High Court

(i) the north side from a point 25.5 metres west of the extended western highway boundary of Hay Street, to its eastern extent.
(ii) the south side from a point 14.0 metres west of the extended western highway boundary of Hay Street, to its eastern extent.
Schedule 2 - Pay by Phone Parking All Days and all hours
Charges are 00.00 a.m. to 23.59 p.m. every day except Christmas Day – 50p per hour or part thereof or £3.00 all day
Easington Street - the north side from a point 25.5 metres west of the extended western highway boundary of Hay Street, for a distance of 63.3 metres in westerly direction.
Schedule 3 - Pay by Phone Parking All Days and all hours
Charges are 00.00 a.m. to 23.59 p.m. every day except Christmas Day – 50p per hour or part thereof or £3.00 all day.
