NOTICE MAKING  TOWN POLICE CLAUSES ACT 1847
THE THANET DISTRICT COUNCIL
VARIOUS ROADS, MARGATE
MONTHLY CHURCH PARADE AND MARCHING BAND
TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2023 CLOSURE OF STREETS

1. Notice is hereby given that the Thanet District Council has made an Order
under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847, the effect of which is to prohibit (except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police
Constable in uniform) any vehicle from proceeding in the length of streets
specified in the schedule to this notice between the hours of 11.30 am and
12.00 noon on Sunday 8th January 2023, Sunday 5th February 2023, Sunday 5th March 2023, Sunday 2nd April 2023, Sunday 7th May 2023, Sunday 4th June 2023, Sunday 2nd July 2023, Sunday 10th September 2023, Sunday 1st October 2023, Sunday 5th November 2023 and Sunday 3rd December 2023 for a period of 30 minutes on each Sunday.
2. Notices will be erected in the streets to enforce these requirements.
3. The penalty for infringement of the Order is a fine not exceeding £1,000.

SCHEDULE
Length of street at Margate in the County of Kent:
Starting in Cecil Square and taking the following route: Cecil Square, Hawley
Street, New Street, High Street, Queen Street and back into Cecil Square for
parade to be dismissed.
