NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use of Parish of Widdrington Station & Stobswood Public Footpath No 14 and Parish of Widdrington Public Footpath No 4, in the County of Northumberland.
The route is described as follows:
From a point on the C117 road 140 metres north-west of Hawkey Lodge in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 590 metres, crossing the East Coast Main Line Railway at Widdrington Junction then continuing in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 680 metres to join the C115 road 65 metres west of the Old Junction Inn.
There is no alternative route available.
The Order is to be effective from the 24th October 2022 until the 24th April 2023.

The closure has been requested by Network Rail in the interests of public safety to comply with Network Rail safety standards.
