What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) PART OF RIVERSIDE WALK FOOTPATH ROTHERHAM TOWN CENTRE (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Riverside Walk Footpath from its junction with the Riverside car park to its junction with the unadopted footpath on the south side of the Wilko building from Saturday 1st October 2022 for a period of six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for pedestrians are via the footways adjacent to Corporation Street, Bridge Street and vice versa. is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Removal of footbridge over the River Don and associated works with Forge Island project).
