Public Notice of Proposed Transfer of Designated Land
The trustees of Simmons Homes, a charity registered in England and Wales with charity number 201676 (“the Charity”), hereby give notice of their intention to transfer the Charity's freehold land located at 1 to 8 (incl.) Simmons Close, Okehampton, and The Nook, The Rest, The Rock and 1 and 2 Chalet Treloar, Simmons Park, Okehampton. (“the Land”). The Land is held by the Charity for the purpose of the provision of almshouses. The Charity proposes to transfer the Land to Okehampton Foundation (Charity number: 1210636) pursuant to a proposed merger of the Charity with Okehampton Foundation. The Premises will continue to be held for the purpose of the provision of almshouses by Okehampton Foundation. In accordance with section 121(2) of the Charities Act 2011, the trustees invite any persons who wish to make any representations concerning the proposed transfer to make representations in writing addressed to The Clerk, Simmons Homes, PO Box 109, Okehampton EX20 1BF, or via email at clerk@okehamptoncharities.org.uk within one month from the date of this notice.
