What is happening?

GREIF UK PENSION SCHEME
THE TRUSTEE ACT 1925, SECTION 27

Notice is hereby given by the Trustees of the Greif UK Pension Scheme (“the Scheme”) pursuant to section 27 of the Trustee Act 1925, that the Trustees of the Scheme commenced the wind up of the Scheme on and from 30 September 2026. The Trustees considers that it has identified and corresponded with all known members, beneficiaries and individuals with a right to benefits under the Scheme. The Scheme is commencing wind up as the pension funds of its known members and their beneficiaries have been secured with an insurer.

Please note that the Scheme has been subject to scheme mergers and name changes over the years and the Scheme was formerly known as The Greif UK Works Pension Scheme, The Greif UK Staff Pension Scheme, The Van Leer (U.K.) Works Pension Scheme and the Van Leer (U.K.) Staff Pension Scheme.

If you consider that you may be entitled to benefits from the Scheme and have not been contacted by the Trustees, please email Greifpensions@ xpsgroup.com or write to the Scheme Administrator Reece Richardson at XPS Group, PO Box 562, Middlesbrough, TS1 9JA. Alternatively, the Scheme Administrator can be contacted by telephone on 0113 284 8067. Please include your full name, any former names by which you may have been known, address, date of birth, National Insurance number and either details of when you were a member of the Scheme or details of the basis of your claim.

You should provide this information no later than two months of the date of the publication of this notice.

Claims received after that time will be excluded from benefits under the Scheme and the Trustees will wind up the Scheme without regard to the claims of any beneficiary of whom they have not had notice.

Members of the Scheme and other beneficiaries with whom the Trustees or the Scheme’s administrators have contacted about the winding-up of the Scheme need not respond to this notice since their interests have already been noted by the Trustees.

This notice is issued on behalf the Trustees of the Greif UK Pension Scheme.
