NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY IN HERTFORDSHIRE

(RICKMANSWORTH 73)

MODIFICATION ORDER 2026

The above Order made on 10th September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding to them a bridleway commencing from a junction with Rickmansworth Bridleway 19 at TQ 0316 9457 then NNE for approx. 420m to a junction with Shepherds Lane at TQ 0338 9493.

A copy of the Order and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/rowapps, Reception of Hertfordshire County Council, Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, SG1 2ST by appointment from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm on Monday to Friday, and at Three Rivers District Council, Rickmansworth, WD3 1RL. Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to the Definitive Map Officer, Countryside and Rights of Way Service, CHN110, Growth and Environment Department, Hertfordshire County Council, Farnham House, Six Hills Way, Stevenage, Hertfordshire SG1 2ST. Email: rachel.knowles1@hertfordshire.gov.uk (ref: 3R102) to arrive no later than 15th November 2026 and applicants must include particulars of the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the Order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Hertfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
