NOTICE OF MAKING OF MODIFICATION ORDER

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981

Sibford Ferris Footpaths Nos. 4 (part) & 5 Modification Order 2026

The above Order made on the 21 September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by amending the alignment of:

— Sibford Ferris Footpath No. 4 from a line running from Bridleway No. 18 at grid reference SP 3573 3725 generally south-south-eastwards for 41m to SP 35746 37212, south-westwards for 132m via SP 3572 3718 to SP 3567 3710 and generally west-south-westwards for 96m to Hook Norton Road at SP 3557 3708 to a line running from Bridleway No. 18 at grid reference SP 3573 3725 generally southwards for 29m to SP 3573 3722, south-south-westwards for 155m via SP 3572 3720 to SP 3564 3710 and west-south-westwards for 69m to Hook Norton Road at SP 3557 3708; and

— Sibford Ferris Footpath No. 5 from a line running from Bridleway No. 18 at grid reference SP 35653 37233 generally south-eastwards for 30m to SP 3567 3721, south-south-eastwards for 47m to SP 3569 3717, east-north-eastwards for 33m to SP 3572 3718, east-south-eastwards for 33m to SP 3575 3717, and east-north-eastwards for 79m to Footpath No. 7 at SP 3583 3720 to a line running from Bridleway No. 18 at grid reference SP 3565 3723 south-south-eastwards for 52m to SP 35679 37192, eastwards for 45m to SP 3572 3720, south-eastwards for 30m via SP 35742 37198 to SP 35752 37194 and eastwards for 81m to SP 3582 3721.

Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to Rights of Way Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND, or rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 6 November 2026 and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.

If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.

3. Sibford Ferris Footpath No. 20, Public Path Creation and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026

The Extinguishment Order, made on 21 September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by extinguishing, as shown on the Order map:

— Sibford Ferris FP No. 4 running from OS Grid Ref SP 3573 3722 southwards for 26m to SP 35742 37192; and

— Sibford Ferris FP No. 5 running from BR No. 18 at OS Grid Ref SP 3565 3723 south-south-eastwards for 52m to SP 35679 37192, eastwards for 45m to SP 3572 3720, east-south-eastwards for 30m via SP 35742 37198 to SP 35752 37194 and eastwards for 81m to SP 3582 3721.

The Diversion Order, made on 21 September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting, as shown on the Order map:

— Sibford Ferris FP No. 4 running from BR No. 18 at OS Grid Ref SP 3573 3725 southwards for 29m to SP 3573 3722, south-westwards for 155m via SP 3572 3720 to SP 3564 3710 and west-south-westwards for 69m to Hook Norton Road at SP 3557 3708 to a new line running from BR No. 18 at OS Grid Ref SP 35653 37233 south-eastwards for 30m to SP 3567 3721, southwards for 29m to 35687 37192, westwards for 25m to SP 35663 37183 southwards for 84m via SP 3567 3713 to SP 3567 3710 and westwards for 96m to Hook Norton Road at SP 3557 3708; and

— Sibford Ferris FP No. 7 running from BR No. 18 at OS Grid Ref SP 3581 3727 south-eastwards for 164m via SP 3582 3721 to SP 3586 3711 eastwards for 70m to SP 3593 3712, southwards for 90m to SP 3594 3701 and south-eastwards for 145m to SP 3602 3689 to a new line running from BR No. 18 at OS Grid Ref SP 36000 37345 southwards for 469m via SP 36003 37327 and SP 3603 3711 to SP 3602 3689.

The Creation Order, made on 21 September 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by creating, as shown on the Order map:

— Sibford Ferris FP No. 20 running from FP No. 5 OS Grid Ref SP 3567 3713 generally westwards to Cotswold Close at SP 3563 3711.

Any representations about or objections to any of the above Orders may be sent in writing to Rights of Way Legal, Oxfordshire County Council, County Hall, Oxford OX1 1ND or rightsofwaylegal@oxfordshire.gov.uk not later than 23 October 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Oxfordshire County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
