The Cornwall Council (Public Footpath No. 24 St Breward) (Newton) Public Path Diversion Order 2026
The above Order made by Cornwall Council on 15 September 2026 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will, if confirmed, divert a length of Public Footpath Number 24 in the Parish of St Breward commencing at a point approximately 20 metres short of its junction with Unclassified Road (U6139) approximately 724 metres north-west of ‘Land North West of Newton’ at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SX 09872/79800 then continuing in a generally south-easterly direction for a distance of 910 metres terminating at its junction with Unclassified Road (U6139) approximately 145 metres east-south-east of ‘Land North West of Newton’ at OSGR SX 10573/79311 to a revised line commencing at its junction with Unclassified Road (U6139), approximately 748 metres north-west of ‘Land North West of Newton’ at OSGR SX 09855/79813 then continuing in a generally south-easterly then south-south-easterly then south-easterly direction for a distance of 949 metres terminating at its junction with Unclassified Road (U6139) approximately 153 meters east-south-east of ‘Land North West of Newton’ at OSGR SX 10582/79314.
A copy of the order and order map may be downloaded from Cornwall Council’s website at https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/public-path-orders/made-public-path-orders/ and have also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Camelford Library and Information Service, Town Hall, Market Place, Camelford PL32 9PD between the hours of 10:00 to 16:30 Mondays & Tuesdays; 14:30 to 20:30 on Wednesdays; and 10:00 to 13:00 Thursdays and Saturdays. Alternatively copies of the Order and Order map may be obtained free of charge from proworders@cornwall.gov.uk.
Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Officer at Public Rights of Way, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, TR1 3AY or by email to proworders@cornwall.gov.uk. (quoting reference HAD 306) no later than Wednesday 21 October 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, then Cornwall Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
