Mae Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd, drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Ddeddf Llywodraeth Leol (Darpariaethau Amrywiol) 1976, wedi penderfynu bod y tabl prisiau mewn perthynas â llogi Cerbyd Hacni i’w arddangos i’r raddfa ganlynol, a fydd yn cael ei weithredu ar 5 Hydref 2026:

CARRIAGE RATES

Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, have determined that the table of fares in respect of the hire of a Hackney Carriage is to be varied to the following scale, and which will be implemented on 5st October 2026:

Objections to the proposed variations should be made in writing by the 4th October 2026

HACKNEY CARRIAGE RATES

TRAVEL CHARGES from 5th October 26

Tariff 1 Day Rate: 06:00hrs and 23:00hrs

If the distance does not exceed 100 yards for the whole of the distance £4.00

If the distance exceeds 100 yards:

• For the first 100 yards £4.00

• For each subsequent 170 yards or uncompleted part thereof 20p

Tariff 2 Night Rate: 23:01 hrs and 05:59hrs

If the distance does not exceed 100 yards for the whole of the distance £5.00

If the distance exceeds 100 yards:

• For the first 100 yards £5.00

• For each subsequent 170 yards or uncompleted part thereof 20p

Tariff 3 Bank Holidays

An extra £3.00 (per journey)

Tariff 4 Christmas / New Years Eve

For hiring’s commenced between 20:00hrs on 24 December Extra and 06:00 on 27 December, and between 23:00 on 31 December and 06:00 on 2 January) £7

WAITING TIME

• For each period of 60 seconds or uncompleted part thereof 30p

EXTRA CHARGES

• For each passenger in excess of four £2.00 per passenger

• For each animal carried (except for assistance dogs) £2

• Soiling charge Amount Not exceeding £85

• Luggage/Suitcase/ Prams/ Wheelchairs etc. No Fee (Other items maximum of £2 discretion of driver)

• Pre Booking Fee Via phone/computer device a maximum charge of £5 (discretion of driver/operator)
