THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE (AREA 6) DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(BABWORTH BRIDLEWAY NO. 13 AND EATON BRIDLEWAY NO. 10) MODIFICATION ORDER (2015)
On the 15th April 2026 the Nottinghamshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the above Area by adding the bridleway commencing from a point, SK 6841 7806, at the junction with Babworth Bridleway 5 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 289 metres to a point, SK 6870 7811, at the junction with Eaton Bridleway No. 10 and also the bridleway commencing from a point, SK 6870 7811, at the junction with Babworth Bridleway No. 13 and proceeding for a distance of approximately 1,510 metres to a point, SK7009 7790 at the junction with Ollerton Road as shown on the Order Map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order Map may be seen by prior appointment with the Countryside Access Team at the address below between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive and at the offices of Bassetlaw District Council, Queens Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts, and also during normal opening hours at Retford Public Library, Churchgate, Retford, Notts until the 29th October 2026. A copy of the order documents can also be supplied upon request by email (countryside.access@nottscc.gov.uk).
The Order came into force on the 17th September 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provisions contained in it, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the grounds of any requirement of the Act or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the 17th September 2026 make an application to the High Court.
