Knill Farm - Application for a Full Water Abstraction Licence

Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Water Act 2003) Notice of application for a full licence to abstract (take) water

K.P.2 Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from underground strata comprising of Wenlock Rocks at Knill Farm, Knill, Presteigne, Powys at National Grid Reference SO 29109 60772.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

• 9 cubic metres an hour • 208 cubic metres a day

• 52,808 cubic metres a year • All year.

The water will be used for:

• Domestic purposes (non-commercial and commercial)

• General or process washing • Animal watering and welfare • General farming (except irrigation).
