Notice is given in accordance with section 15 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and The School Organisation (Establishment and Discontinuance of Schools) Regulations 2013, as amended, that Trafford Council proposes to discontinue St Teresa’s RC Primary School, St Teresa’s Road, Manchester, M16 0GQ.
The proposal follows a period of consultation and is being made in response to ongoing low pupil numbers, a significant surplus of school places in the local area, and concerns regarding the long-term financial sustainability of the school.
The representation period begins on 7 September 2026 and ends at midnight on 5 October 2026. Comments or objections should be submitted to Trafford Council using the details provided below.
