Adfer Afon Kenson – Gwaith Adeiladu Cam 1
Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru yn rhoi hysbysiad ei fod yn cynnig ymgymryd â’r gwaith adeiladu Cam 1 disgwyliedig ar gyfer cynllun Adfer Afon Kenson ar Afon Kenson yn nyffryn Ystad Ffwl-y-mwn ger y Rhws ym Mro Morgannwg (ST 03685 68261).
Bydd y gwaith gwella Cam 1 arfaethedig yn cynnwys y canlynol: Ailraddio’r glannau i lawr yr afon yn estyniadau 5 a 6, gosod coed mawr fel nodweddion yn y sianel yn estyniadau 2, 5 a 6 a rhwystro cwlferi’r ffosydd draenio i atal y llif i afon Kenson.
Nod Prosiect Adfer Afon Kenson yw gwella bioamrywiaeth, gwella gwydnwch cynefinoedd, lleihau dirywiad pellach o ran statws y Gyfarwyddeb Fframwaith Dŵr, ac adfer swyddogaeth naturiol yr afon a’r gorlifdir. Nid yw’r cynnig yn dod o dan Atodlen 1 na 2 rheoliadau’r Asesiad o’r Effaith Amgylcheddol.
Mae Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru o’r farn nad yw’r gwaith gwella yn debygol o gael effaith sylweddol ar yr amgylchedd ac nid yw’n bwriadu paratoi datganiad amgylcheddol ar ei gyfer. Mae cynllun cyfyngiadau amgylcheddol o’r safle ar gael ar gais.
Dylai unrhyw un sy’n dymuno cyflwyno sylwadau mewn perthynas ag effeithiau amgylcheddol tebygol y gwaith gwella arfaethedig wneud hynny, yn ysgrifenedig, a’u hanfon i’r cyfeiriad e-bost a nodir isod, o fewn 30 diwrnod i ddyddiad cyhoeddi’r hysbysiad hwn.

Regulation 12B of the Environmental Impact Assessment (Land Drainage Improvement Works) SI1999/1783 as amended
Kenson River Restoration - Phase 1 Construction
Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes the anticipated phase 1 construction of the Kenson River Restoration scheme on the Kenson River in the valley of the Fonmon Estate near Rhoose in the Vale of Glamorgan (ST 03685 68261).
The proposed phase 1 improvement works will involve the following: Bank regrading in downstream reaches 5 & 6, Installing Large Wood as in-channel features to reaches 2, 5 & 6 and blocking the culverts of the drainage ditches to stop flow into the river Kenson.
The Kenson River Restoration Project aims to improve biodiversity, habitat resilience, to minimise further deterioration of WFD status, and restore the natural function of the river and floodplain. The proposal does not fall under Schedule 1 or 2 of the EIA regulations.
Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. An environmental constraints plan of the site is available upon request.
Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the email address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
