STATUTORY NOTICE OF PROPOSALS
PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH SEN UNITS AND RESOURCE PROVISION
NOTICE IS GIVEN in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 and the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained Schools) Regulations that North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, DN15 6NL, are proposing changes to the following schools to establish SEN Units and Resource Provision.
Holme Valley Primary School, Timberland, Bottesford, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, DN16 3SL.
Priory Lane Primary School, Priory Lane, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, DN17 1HE.
Winterton Church of England Infant School, West Street, Winterton, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 9QF.
Winterton Junior School, West Street, Winterton, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, DN15 9QG.
Castledyke Primary School, Castledyke West, Bartonupon- Humber, North Lincolnshire, DN18 5AW.
Brigg Primary School, Atherton Way, Ancholme Business Park, Brigg, North Lincolnshire, DN20 8AR.
Sir John Nelthorpe Secondary School, Grammar School Road, Brigg, Lincolnshire, DN20 8AA.
North Lincolnshire Council has a duty to keep its special education provision under review and ensure there is the right type of provision and enough places to meet the needs of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
The SEN Units and Resource Provision at the seven schools are proposed to be formally registered during the academic year 2026/27 for children with an Education Health and Care Plan.
