(Hanover Court and Princess Court) Compulsory Purchase Order 2026
WHEREAS Cambridge City Council has submitted to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government for confirmation of an Order made under section 17 of the Housing Act 1985, which would authorise it to acquire compulsorily the land referred to in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of facilitating the demolition of Hanover Court and Princess Court and the delivery of a qualitative and quantitative housing gain in the same location.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public local inquiry into this matter will be held by Mr Owen Woodward at Church Hall, St Paul's Church & Community Centre, Hills Road, Cambridge CB2 1JP on Tuesday 6 October 2026 at 10:00am. The Inquiry is estimated to last three days.
A copy of the Order and of the map referred to therein are on deposit at:
- The Clay Farm Centre, Hobson Ave, Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9FN (Monday to Saturday) and;
- Cambridge City Council, Mandela House, 4 Regent St, Cambridge, CB2 1BY (Wednesday to Friday, by appointment).
