NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER
SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (CRIPPLESHAM)
MODIFICATION ORDER 2026
The above Order, made on 12th August 2026, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by the addition of a bridleway starting from the west end of Market Lane (U21293) at grid reference TF 6464 0369 and proceeding in a south west direction for approximately 210 metres to grid reference TF 6450 0355 where it turns to run in southerly direction for approximately 368 metres to grid reference TF 6453 0319. The path then turns to run in an east north-east direction for approximately 1060 metres to meet Crimplesham Footpath No. 2 at grid reference TF 6556 0342. The width of the way extends between the edges of the route used during the relevant period (1976-1996), which ranges between 1.5-7 metres as shown on the order plan. Limitations and conditions: None
A copy of the order and order map may be seen free of charge at County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich (please contact legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk in advance) and at the offices of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council, King’s Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, PE30 1EX during normal office hours or purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the undersigned.
Any representation or objection relating to the order must be sent in writing to the Senior Legal Orders Officer, Norfolk County Council, County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH or emailed to legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk not later than 16th October 2026, and applicants are requested to state the grounds on which it is made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Norfolk County Council, instead of submitting the order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order.
If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent with it.
