What is happening?

BURY COUNCIL

LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 SECTION 123 (1), (2A) DISPOSAL OF ONE PARCEL OF PUBLIC OPEN SPACE AT LAND ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MILTON ROAD, RADCLIFFE, BURY.

Pursuant to section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972, The Metropolitan Borough of Bury hereby gives notice of its intention to dispose of land covering a total area of approximately 3.63 acres (14,685 sq.m) at land on the North Side of Milton Road, Radcliffe, Bury. A copy of the plan showing the position of the land in question is available by writing in to Land & Property, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ or preferably by email from property@bury.gov.uk

This is a formal notice given insofar as the above-described parcel of land consists or forms part of an open space for the purposes of section 123 (2A) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Further information or objections regarding the above should be made in writing and addressed to Land & Property, 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury BL9 0EJ or preferably by email to property@bury.gov.uk to be received by no later than Thursday 24/09/2026.

Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.
