NOTICE TO EXEMPT LAND FROM ACCESS RIGHTS

Notice is hereby given under Section 11(9) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (“The Act”) that on12th September 2026, the City of Edinburgh Council made West Princes Street Gardens (Fly Open Air Festival, Order 2026 (“the Order”) under Section 11(1) of the Act.

The effect of the Order is to exempt West Princes Street Gardens from the access rights which would otherwise be exercisable in respect of that land by virtue of Part 1 of the Act.

The purpose for which the Order is made is to provide a safe and secure environment in the final run up to the event and limit access during the event to customers and participants only.

The Order will take effect from 07.00hrs on 12th September 2026 and will expire at 19.00hrs on 13th September 2026, unless revoked earlier.
