LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1972 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF PART OF AN OPEN SPACE

LAND AT HEOL LAS PARK, GWERNLLWYNCHWYTH ROAD, BIRCHGROVE, SWANSEA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City and County of Swansea, being the freehold owner of land at Heol Las Park, Gwernllwynchwyth Road, Birchgrove, Swansea, which is held and maintained as public open space, proposes to grant a lease of part of that land, shown edged red on the plan referred to below, to Heol Las Park Association Community Interest Company (‘the Association’).

The Association comprises members of Birchgrove Colts Football Club and Landore Cricket Club. Its objectives are to maintain and improve the sporting facilities at Heol Las Park. The proposed lease is intended to facilitate improvements to sporting facilities at the Park, including the development of football facilities and the potential provision of changing facilities and community space.

A plan showing the land proposed to be disposed of may be inspected in the foyer of the offices of the Council of the City and County of Swansea, Y Storfa, 277-278 Oxford Street, Swansea SA1 3EL during normal office hours.

Objections to the proposed disposal must be made in writing and submitted to the Head of Property and Regeneration Services, The Council of the City and County of Swansea, Civic Centre, Oystermouth Road, Swansea, SA1 3SN, under reference “Heol Las Park Open Space Disposal” and quoting the reference number JT/2633900 or made via the Council’s website at http://www.swansea.gov.uk/publicnotices or by email to Corporate.

Property@swansea.gov.uk quoting the same reference, by 5pm on 23 September 2026.
