What is happening?

Thursley Common

Thursley Parish Council has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Thursley Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.

The proposed works are demolition of the existing cricket pavilion and construction of a replacement single-storey pavilion and terrace, accessible parking space, air-source heat pump, foul-water drainage and temporary construction/ tree-protection works, at the north-west corner of Thursley Recreation Ground.

The application and accompanying documents can be inspected at Thursley Cricket Pavilion, Dyehouse Road, Thursley, Godalming, Surrey GU8 6QL. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am-5pm, until 1st October. Copies may be obtained from Thursley Parish Council, The Barrows, Seale Road, Elstead, Surrey GU8 6LF or thursleypavilion@gmail.com.
