SOUTH AYRSHIRE COUNCIL
NOTICE TO EXEMPT LAND FROM ACCESS RIGHTS
Notice is hereby given under section 11(9) of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003 (“the Act”) that on 9 July 2026, having consulted the local access forum, South Ayrshire Council made the South Ayrshire Council (Ayr Beach, International Ayr Show Festival of Flight) Exempting Land from Access Rights Order 2026 (“Order No.1”), and the South Ayrshire Council (Slip Way, Compass Pier, Ayr Harbour, International Ayr Show Festival of Flight) Exempting Land from Access Rights Order 2026 (“Order No.2”), under Section 11(1) of the Act.

The purpose for which the Orders are made is to enable the International Ayr Show Festival of Flight 2026 to be held, whilst maintaining the safety of participants, spectators and the public.
The Order No.1 will be effective from 00:00 on 04/09/26 until 23:59 on 05/09/26 unless revoked earlier and the Order No.2 will be effective from 09:00 on 02/09/26 until 18:00 on 06/09/26 unless revoked earlier.
