Independent Water Networks Ltd - Temporary Water Use Restrictions

Water Industry Act 1991

Independent Water Networks Ltd (IWNL) gives notice that, pursuant to sections 76 and 76A-C of the Water Industry Act 1991, the following uses of water supplied by IWNL are restricted.

1. Watering a garden using a hosepipe

2. Cleaning a private motor-vehicle using a hosepipe

3. Watering plants on domestic or other non-commercial premises using a hosepipe

4. Cleaning a private leisure boat using a hosepipe

5. Filling or maintaining a domestic swimming or paddling pool

6. Drawing water, using a hosepipe, for domestic recreational use

7. Filling or maintaining a domestic pond using a hosepipe

8. Filling or maintaining an ornamental fountain

9. Cleaning walls, or windows, or a domestic premises using a hosepipe

10. Cleaning paths or patios using a hosepipe

11. Cleaning other artificial outdoor surfaces using a hosepipe

Water restrictions will start at 00:01 on the 21 August 2026 and continue until further notification.

The restrictions applies in the areas of supply of Abbey Gardens (SP7), Station Road, Crewkerne (TA18), Wey Valley (DT3), Firs Road (SP5), Grovelands Way (BA12), Sydenham Manor Estate (Parcel B) (TA6), Filands View (SN16), Liddymore Farm (TA23), Jurston Farm (TA21), Bower Farm (TA6), Land at Westside Close (SP4), Cokerhurst Farm (TA6), Ham Farm and New House Farm (SP8), Stalbridge Road (BA8), Station Road, Milborne Port (DT9), Elm Close, Sturminster (DT10), Lavington Lane (SN10), Three Lanes Way (DT2), Netherhampton Road (SP2), Rowbarrow (SP2), Netherhampton Road North (SP2), Land at North Fields (DT10), Elizabeth Way (BA14), Gillingham Lakes (Phase 2) (SP8), Littlemoor Road (DT3), Silverlake (DT2), Curtis Fields (DT4), Shillingstone Lane (DT11), Rowden Park (SN15), Filands View (Phase 2) (SN16), Burton Hayes (DT10), May Bower Gardens (DT5), Lower Bryanston Farm (DT11), Windsor Drive, Devizes (SN10), Common Mead Lane (SP8), Land South of Lower Road (DT10), Shaftesbury Employment Land (SP7), Hillbourne (BH17), Spenhill Bath Press (BA2), Liddymore Farm (CA) (TA23), Haygrove Park (Phase 2) (TA6), Creech St Michael (TA3), Showell Nursery (SN15), Policemans Lane (Phase 2) (BH16).
