What is happening?

School Statutory Consultation

A consultation will be available on the council website www.southlanarkshire.co.uk from Monday 31 August 2026 until 23 October 2026 for your views on the following proposals:

1. alter the catchment area of St Mary’s Primary School, Hamilton and St Paul’s Primary School to more effectively balance pupil numbers in the area and

2. remove the optional area whereby families can choose to attend either St Peter’s Primary School or St Mary’s Primary school, Hamilton as their catchment denominational school and align the area to St Peter’s Primary School and

3. remove the optional area whereby families can choose to attend either St Peter’s Primary school or Our Lady and St Anne’s Primary school as their catchment denominational school and align the area to Our Lady and St Anne’s Primary school.

A public meeting will be held on 22 September 2026 from 6-7pm at St Peter’s Primary School, Highstonehall Road, Hamilton, ML3 8LU.
