(Public Bridleway at Cheadle Road to Footpath 39 at Woodlands Hall, Cheddleton) Modification Order 2020
On the 28th April 2026 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above Order made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 with modification.
The effect of the Order, as confirmed, is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a Public Bridleway in Cheddleton Parish commencing at point
A on the map (NGR 397060 – 351140), the south side of Cheadle Road, Cheddleton, and running in a generally east-south easterly direction for approximately 547 metres then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 80 metres, then running in a generally east-south easterly direction for approximately 217 metres to its terminus at point B on the map (NGR 397777 – 350720) approximately 60 metres west of Felt House Farm. The width of the public bridleway will be 2.4 metres.
A copy of the Confirmed Order and Map has been deposited and may be seen free of charge at the offices of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Moorlands House, Stockwell Street, Leek, ST13 6HQ and at Staffordshire County Council Reception, Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2LP during normal working hours, Mondays to Fridays. Copies of the Order and the Map may be purchased.
The Order came into force on the 28th April 2026, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any Regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, they may, under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act within 42 days from 19th August 2026 make an application to the High Court.
